Set your boundaries! There should be fewer invitations to become BFF with other Sims.

It happens to me as well. Every friend wants to be best friends, will call to ask, but most annoyingly, will just walk into the house no matter what activity my sims are in, and ask. This should not be happening and the code that makes sims seek constant affirmation of best friend status should be removed or seriously limited. I have had the absurd situation where my sim is with one sim in my sims home, they are friends. then another sim walks in, asked to be best friends. If you say no, there is a negative moodlet for both sims, but if you say yes, then the sim that was originally in the house comes back to ask if they can be best friends. This seems to be happening a lot since the high school expansion, and since the last delivery express.
Additionally, acquaintance sims become good friends at random moments when not even interacting with each other. This also started occurring after the latest sims delivery.
