Set your boundaries! There should be fewer invitations to become BFF with other Sims.

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.93.129.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? It happened after installing High School Years expansion pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Install the aforementioned pack and play it (as an adult mainly)
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims ask to be best friends. The only two options are yes or no way, if you pick the latter you lose a whole chunk of friendship. Now sims ask ALL THE TIME to be best friends, even entering house without being invited. If you say no you incur hurt feelings and lose a whole chunk of friendship.
What do you expect to see? NPC'S not to enter house unless invited. Not asking every day to be best friends, sometime multiple times during the day. Not to have adult sims asked the often, it's more of a child teenage trait. Replace the No Way second option and remove it having such an impact on friendships.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Female sim in attached picture wasn't invited. Came in and asked to be best friends (for the millionth time), said no way as Sim is married to best friend. Now super hurt and lost chunk of friendship.
I think they probably know about this and it's sitting on a huge pile of things to fix.
But they get their money from adding new stuff - which always comes with loads of bugs - not from fixing said bugs.
Not the best system for stability, but such is the world we live in.
I feel like this problem is getting worse. It’s to the point where I hate for my Sims to go out and socialize because I know that in the following hours their home will be invaded by unwanted guests asking to be best friends
I can’t believe more people aren’t complaining about this problem. It would (maybe) be (somewhat) okay and realistic if the game allowed you to have more than 1 BFF. But since accepting a BFF means you “fall out of touch” with your former BFF, it’s ridiculous to get multiple Sims invading your home every day asking yo be best friends. In real life, people tint behave this way (at least among adults). I don’t get asked every day by each new person I meet yo be BFFs. And no one unlocks my door uninvited and walks into my house. Ever. Is anyone else still super-annoyed by this?
