Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? make your sime work from home in the video game streamer career. They only earn $10 and never get promoted
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim works from home in the video game streamer career. The sim can complete every work from home task. The sim only gets paid $10 and never promoted. If the sim goes into work, they get paid the full amount.
What do you expect to see? I expect my sim to get paid the full amount ( at least $122 and get job performance )
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

I was told to post this here and they closed my discussion thread on the official forums even though I was discussing how many of us can't play our sim selves and have the sims stream games. I posted this here back when High school years released and so far nothing has been done about it. But they said to post it again. So I am.
The Bug:
When a sim works from home for the video game streamer career and accomplishes their work from home task- they only earn $10 as pay. Their job performance also never goes up and they never get promoted.
If the sim "goes into work" they get paid the full amount and gain job performance. They also can get promoted.
This happens every time.
I have no mods. I have no CC. I have done new saves. I have done new folders.
I know the issue is not just me. I have seen several "game changers" & even early access streamers who have reported this on their channels. Many even has laughed and said they can't even play their sim selves and get paid either.
This has been reported on by youtube streamers, twitch streamers, and reddit players. So I know it is not my game. This has been happening since High school years released.
I would like my sims to be able to work from home and earn their full pay. I would like them to be able to gain job performance and even get promoted.

I have had sims do both part time careers that come with High School Years (Simfluencer and Video Game Streamer). If they work from home they get paid 10 simoleons for completing the task and 10 simoleons when they get the next call re whether they work from home. Unlike some who have posted here, my sims do still get promoted, and when that happens, they do get the promotion bonuses however they never get paid their hourly wage rate, they only get 20 simoleons per day in total, regardless of career level. I've even had some sims stay in the career after they age up to young adults (while they go to university) and their pay goes up to 14 simoleons for completing the task/14 simoleons when they get the call, and again if they go to work they get paid the actual hourly rate.
This is similar to the now fixed bug with the Seasons gardening career, they would get paid a nominal amount when they worked from home, but not the hourly wage.
This has been happening in my game with every teen I've had do either career since the pack came out (which has been a minimum of 20 teen sims, probably more, as I do the goal oriented aspiration with all my teen sims). I am currently using some mods (no cc ever), but when I first experienced the issue I was playing mod free, and in a new save I created after adding High School Years to my game, so that save had never had any mods in it.

The sad thing about this is... EA keeps ignoring it. Game changers who got the game early to stream and promote, mentioned this many times in their videos. They said they alerted EA and the sims team about it.
Many of the streamers even said they could not make a sim version of themselves because of it. There are many youtube videos showing how it is broken ( lil simsie, james turner, peteryplays it, plumbella, and on and on ). It has been posted about on their official forums, discord, reddit, twitter, instagram, and youtube. EA just refuses to acknowledge the issue.
Heck, when they did their HSY live video, it didn't even work for EA themselves. Yet they kept promoting it as a expansion pack feature.
Seriously, what is the point of having a video game streamer career, if you only get paid by going into work? Sims working from home and their own computers was supposed to be the whole fun of the career.
I have gotten to the point where I am not going to buy anymore expansions or kits until stuff starts getting fixed.
I have been playing sims the original sims 1 game launched. I have been playing faithfully ever since ( even the sims online and mysims games ). I have purchased every stuff pack, expansion pack, and kit for each version of the game. But i have reached my limit. I am so sick of things being over looked and not fixed.
Bumping this up because it is still happening with both of the part time jobs in the high school years pack.
The siminfluencer and video game streamer careers do not get paid properly if a sim works from home for the day. They get paid $10 simoleons per day if they work from home. If i send a sim into work, that sim gets their correct salary.
I don't use mods or any CC. Plus there are a lot of videos on youtube from gamechangers who show these are broken. Their comment sections have a great deal of people saying it is broken for them too. So I know it isn't just a handful of people.
@EA_Cade Any updates on this? These careers have been broken since HSY launched. I would love it if they one day worked.
