[FIXED] [HSY] Won't Travel to Prom

I didn't try. 🤦‍♀️ It didn't occur to me as an actual option. I can test this. I'll try with one of my Households with a teen.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All, except Journey To Batuu, Bust the Dust, Courtyard Oasis, Fashion Street, Blooming Rooms, Modern Menswear.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have one or more teens in your household.
What happens when the bug occurs? I get a pop-up saying prom is starting, asking if I would like to send my sims to prom or skip prom. I choose «go to prom» and select my teen sims. And nothing happens.
What do you expect to see? My chosen sims attending prom.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I don’t know if this is a bug or intentional. I’m playing a completely new save, no mods or cc.

My teens’ first prom happened without problems. When it was time for their second prom, I followed the same steps. Chose to go to prom with my teens, and nothing happened. I assumed it was because they were exhausted, or maybe I had clicked the wrong button. I turned aging off, and tried again the next saturday.

I made sure my sims’ needs were green. I got the pop-up, paid more attantion and clicked all the right buttons, and still no prom is happening. I sent my sims to the auditorium, and there is no prom happening.

I've had this same problem the last 4 proms. I did actually try travelling and it's just the generic auditorium, no prom happening

Sorry it took me so long to check this. My Sim had already aged up and had to wait on my Sim's daughter to age up. So voila! Here I am. And... Got the travel to prom notification and the same thing happened; she didn't go. I traveled to the auditorium and not a soul in sight. I will try and go to the pre-prom event next Prom and see if I can travel to prom from there.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? While on console, allow the pop up asking which teen sims will be going to prom. Then Select all.
What happens when the bug occurs? After selecting all teens to attend prom none of them go and the game resumes as if prom did not exist.
What do you expect to see? Selected teens should attend prom.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

Please describe the patch or change you made. This started happening after the update that specifically targeted consoles recently.

I noticed that after the patch targeting consoles, none of my teen sims would go to prom even after I selected them to attend.

Having the same issue. The pop-up appears, I click "accept and choose sims to travel," choose my teenagers, and nothing happens.

I have tried:

• turning off aging
• updating mods
• disabling mods
• traveling to the auditorium before getting the pop-up

None of them have worked. The teens just keep going about their business as though nothing has happened. Even if I go to the venue ahead of time, no event begins and the auditorium remains empty. Interestingly, before turning off aging, the event does not show up on the calendar and the pop-up prompt to go to prom does not appear. I know this is an issue that was previously fixed by turning off aging. However, even though I turned aging off, the prom event still does not happen.

Had the same issue but finally solved it.  Is your high school principal still alive?  If not, then that's one reason the prom won't execute.  That's what happened in my game.  Mei Prescott died without me even noticing.  So, I had to join one of my teen sims as they attended high school for classes one day so that the game could spawn a new principal.  That fixed the problem.
