Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim eat mermaid kelp to become a mermaid Enter large body of water Watch as sim torso and head swim around merrily in their new "transformation"
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim "transforms" into a mermaid but they dont have a mer-tail automatically assigned to them
What do you expect to see? A fully formed mermaid with a randomly assigned mer-tail
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

I went to transform a sim into a mermaid using the mermaid kelp. I had the sim eat the kelp and enter a body of water. He then "transformed" into a swimming torso and head. No tail. (I did find thos amusing) I did let it play out for a min to see if it was just a lag, but alas it was not. My tail-les sim swam around for quite some time. I had to go into CAS and assign him a tail. (He was also tail-les in Cas until i clicked on one.
Side note I had done the same thing with another sim family 3 days before the update and it worked just fine. Everyone was randomly assigned mer-tail
I did create another save and try again to see if it was a one off and it happed again too.
