I have tried everything in this thread. Which boils down to removing computers and deleting/repurchasing beds and/or moving your sim household to another lot, saving the house to the library, bulldozing the lot, putting it back, and having a highly temporary fix. No, turning the autonomy on/off does NOT help, because it isn't inherently an autonomy issue--at least, I don't believe so.
I uninstalled all of the expansion/stuff content that I purchased just to be sure it wasn't an issue with one of the stuff packs, and then I played for several hours with just one sim. Other than a few hang-ups here and there on x3 speed (tolerable) her autonomy was flawless. As soon as I had her move into a house with another sim, I immediately started having autonomy issues. Which seems to me to be a processing issue of some sort, maybe? But I'm no programmer and thus have no real idea.
All I know is that this is NOT how the game functioned directly after purchasing it last year, where I ran an 8 person household with a few hanging issues that were mostly the fault of my computer at the time, and probably the large save file.
EDIT: I would also like to mention that while running the single sim, she had a bed and a computer and had no issues.
Ok so this has been driving me nuts for some time I need help! My Sims will start out (after moving into a new house) doing their own thing for about a min then all of a sudden will stand there and have no free will. Yes I checked that it's on full autonomy in game options and yes I do have mods, although I have the same mods in my game for months with no problems I removed my mods folder and it's still doing it!. I have all esp/packs except Spooky Pack and my game is updated and I have tried several different families, even making a single sim as a test, so I have ran out of ideas to try so if anyone has any ideas I would really REALLY appreciate any help Thanks!!

Hi @DelightfulSims,
it's a known bug. There's a few suggestions in this thread I moved yours into and there's also a mod (MC Command Center) that has a temp fix

Can you give me some info on that MC Command fix? I have the mod, just don't know what options fix the autonomy problem.

I would think it was automatic but you would need to ask the creator of the mods. Haven't looked into the details. Make sure you have the newest version.

Oh thanks so much Crin. I'm sorry I didn't see this thread here but it is somewhat comforting knowing I am not the only one! I will try the MC command thingy Thanks 🙂

Alrighty then, read thru all complaints/ideas in this thread, installed MC Command Center (no change) deleted bed and computers and both Sims were fixed, bought different bed and different computers and now 1 of the 2 sims will only move if very low needs eg: eating, peeing etc What I did note is that in my cache folder it's completely empty before and after saving an exiting my game so I concluded I will have to wait for a bug fix from EA. Have a nice day 🙂

Thanks @crinrict. Is there a setting in MC Command that needs to be set? or does just installing it in the mods folder address the issue?
edit: nvm, I wasn't reading the latest comment.
