[FIXED] Items no longer owned after moving
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.51.77.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Seasons, Pets, City, Work, Jungle, Vampires, Dine Out, Outdoor
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In the city, ask a neighbor to move in, then combine both families and move current household to the neighbor's apartment next door, keeping all belongings.
What happens when the bug occurs? Portable items that were decorating the old apartment are moved to the household belongings (correct) and I can place them (correct). But characters can't pick them up or interact with them in some ways because they are not owned by the houseold. "Put in Inventory" is greyed out and says "[Name] does not own this item."
What do you expect to see? I expect the household to own all portable objects placed in their lot regardless of how they got there.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Is there a workaround for this? Some easy way to change the ownership of an item to the current family. It's a bummer, tons of unique, irreplaceable things can no longer be picked up.
I had my sim move from Newcrest to a penthouse in San Myshuno and they 'kept furniture' and the inventory in the storage items did transfer to their new lot and it appears to belong to them as I can drag inventory out of the fridge/toy box/etc and into the sim's personal inventory with no problems.
Though they had a portable laptop on the old lot and it was put in her personal inventory instead of the household inventory (and I had a message when I arrived on the new lot).
This is since Tuesday's (Jun 18/19) update (ie game version PC 1.52.100.1020) with all the packs installed. No mods/cc.
Best regards,
Jennifer
