In Selvadorada, dig at a speckled rock - not one that has fossil bones or crystals sticking out of it. What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim goes through the usual motions of digging, then stands up with no collectible acquired.What do you expect to see? In other worlds the speckled rocks usually produce metals, mysterious boxes, or treasure maps.Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No I've visited Selvadorada with three different Sim families from three different save files, including one started after Jungle Adventure was installed, and I don't think I've ever gotten a mysterious box or treasure map from a rock in that world. The rocks that usually contain fossils and crystals respectively work as expected.

With the latest patch, I think this bug is fixed. Today I successfully dug up metals from speckled rocks found in two different locations in Selvadorada (the temple and the cheapest vacation rental lot).

I can, Crin. Stay at the cheapest lodging. Right next to it are 3 rocks that spawn. Fossil, crystal and the speckled one. I've had two different sims dig those rocks. Fossil works, crystal works, nothing at all from the speckled one. I haven't tried a speckled rock in a home world yet so don't know if they are working outside of Selvadorada.

@SimGuruNick, If you need another save with this issue, I have one. It starts with the sim digging the speckled rock and completing the action with no collectible obtained or message. I am seeing the same behavior as @funcrunch . I don't use mods or cc. I didn't automatically upload since you may have been able to see for yourself and make a determination as to whether or not it falls into "by design" based on the save you already have.I have only tried to dig the speckled rock by the cheapest lodging in Selvadorada and no where else in the world. Because I've experienced the nothing gotten after a complete dig animation consistentely in two saves that are on different computers, I am surprised to hear that you've been unable to reproduce the issue. I thought this issue would have been simple to replicate. IMHO, I can't imagine this working as it is supposed to since the sim gets nothing and leaves the player thinking something is broken.BTW, thank you for stopping in to provide input. Did you verify that they still work in other worlds ?

Out of curiosity, what collectibles are your testers digging up from those speckled rocks in Selvadorada?

I have only tried to dig the speckled rock by the cheapest lodging in Selvadorada and no where else in the world. I've tried digging at speckled rocks all over Selvadorada, and none of them have yielded collectibles, FWIW. (The screenshot I posted upthread was taken in the "flirty falls" area of the jungle.)

oh! I thought it was normal. Outside selvadorada I always dig something up but once I enter the jungle then it drops to about 70% success. Going off this map there is always a clump of 3 at area 3 which never results in anything and area 6 (fishing area) there is one near the waterfall which works but the rest normally don't.

I took a quick trip to Selvadorada this morning. I was able to successfully get collectibles from 2 speckled rocks. One was beside the cheapest lodging and 1 was near a path to be cleared area. So far, so good.

I successfully dug up a metal from a speckled rock in Selvadorada today, so the bug still appears to be fixed to me.
