Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have any sim on any lot have a washing machine and hamper or wash bucket and clothes line. Click on hamper or washing machine.
What happens when the bug occurs? Unable to do laundry. No interactions come up for the hamper and only interaction that comes up for washer/dryer is "upgrade". Sims also do not drop clothes when changing into different outfits or going to shower, the hamper does not fill. No piles of clothes on the floor. Nothing. Attempted multiple saves, neighborhoods, lots and families.
What do you expect to see? You should see options to do laundry, wash it, dry it, hang it up, put it away, etc.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Please describe the patch or change you made. Seems to have appeared after nifty knitting patch but I am unsure as I have just recently added laundry to my lot and noticed it.
Not sure when bug started as I just recently added laundry to my lot. Attempted multiple households, neighborhoods and lots. Disabled Mods, Tried brand new saves and games. Cleared out cache and old saves. Seems to have appeared with new update/nifty knitting pack.
