@crinrict Ok I'm up at at em this morning. Booted up the game and made 4 trans sims and set their sleep clothes as follows; 1 with long beard and base game hat, 1 with long beard and a pack hat, 1 with a short beard and hat, and 1 with long beard and no hat at all.
Again, sleeping triggered the bug(I'm assuming because of hair growth cycle), but only in the Sims with both a long beard and a hat. I will link images below.
I will update the bug report with my findings.

UPDATE: I loaded in my game with a trans character wearing a hat and the base game mustache+gottee. He was not asleep, I just loaded the game. Only the mustache disappeared. I didn't even think to get pictures.
I don't even know what this means anymore. I guess for the foreseeable future my transmasc sims will not be wearing hats. I'm very frustrated with this at this point.

ANOTHER UPDATE: After a couple days of playing with no hats and beard growth off, the beards are still disappearing. I do not know the cause. I have no idea what to even put in the bug report. It can be triggered by loading the game, sleeping, taking a shower, or one time I just paused the game and went to the bathroom and it happened. I am at a loss. I will be removing beards for my transmasc sims for the foreseeable future.

This issue is happening with me too - but it's not beards, and my sim doesn't wear any headwear of any kind. I found an older troubleshooting post which stated that male sims with female frames will lose their facial hair after certain interactions, and also as time goes on.
It happens whether you have hair growth enabled or not. But it may be due to that, I'm not sure. We'd need someone without the High School Years pack to test that for us.
I'm getting sick of having to go through a loading screen every 30mins just to put my sim's moustache back on.
