[FIXED] Merging households through dialog doesn't proceed

when trying to merge households either by asking, marriage and manage worlds i can’t. 

it all goes fine and i merge them across and then it just gets stuck after i hit the tick. 

i can back out of it and continue as normal

its only since the update today. 

my sims have also started showering constantly if i don’t line up actions for them 

i’ve both restarted the game and the console 

The same bug happened to me too and I've investigated a little.

Game does not accept that you merge your household with another one that has not a house. I've discovered this bug when I've tried to invite in my family the gardener and then it has happened the same with random sims, but I have been able to invite the Vatore family in Vladislaus household.

@Elly3058I've noticed that the game actually does not freeze, just does not do anything. You should be able to solve the situation just letting your sim join the other household (yes, the opposite is admitted), but then the game will obviusly ask you to buy a house for your family and all the collection progresses of your household will be lost. It is really annoying and I actually hope that will be fixed soon.

Edit: at the moment the only real solution is to merge the households (no house -> with house) through Manage wordls.

Sorry, I forgot to answer to that too: to me it does not happen.

I play the sims 4 on pc and I have the following packs: island living, get famous, seasons, cats and dogs, get together; dream home decorator, realm of magic, jungle adventure, vampires, ourdoor retreat; nifty knitting, tiny living, moschino, my first pet, vintage glamour.

The bug happens if you try to completely merge two households (no house to households with a house in the world) through dialogue option (by asking and marriage). Completely means that you can move freely sims from a household to another, but this bug does not allow you to transfer an entire household that is not in any world to the one you are currently using.

Manage worlds allows me to avoid the bug.

@Heautontimoru I can't duplicate it unfortunately. Could be a pack thing.

OK, NVM. Not sure why the other Sim worked with no issues (they were not in a house) so maybe there's more factors ? I just tried a completely new generated not in world household and I can duplicate on that one.

What happens when the bug occurs? I's just not possible to action a move in to an existing household - it just doesnt happen - the only way to move someone to the household is to first move everyone out
What do you expect to see? A sim to be able to join household from the moving in screen without having to move everyone out and then place all furniture again from household items
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Hey 🙂

When I try to add a sim to household via - Ask X to move in - the screen pops up - I move them over to the current household and all funds transfer and then with I click the tick mark to accept it greys out and nothing happens.

If i move all members of the household out it works no issues and we can then re-enter the household - but doing this means all furniture is moved to household inventory and I need to place everything again - playing large houses with legacy games this is very frustrating and game-breaking for my style of play - I want to be able to move a sim in without these issues.

No CC in my game - This is a freshly downloaded version as I purchased growing together and began playing again yesterday - however with these bugs I cannot play.

Please advise on how I can fix this.

This is what's happening to me! The sim wasn't living in the world and that's where I ran into the issue.

For the it happens with every household in this situation

Every single time I try to merge households together in rentals it never works the game always freezes and it happens everytime, I've resorted to just going through manage worlds but it's not at all the same.
