[FIXED] Multiple Music play at the same time

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? n/a

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am honestly not sure, I posted about this issue back in 2014 and a patch seemed to help (I am not sure which one) and ever since I installed Parenthood it is back and it is annoying.
What happens when the bug occurs? Multiple songs play at once - its like the loading music is stuck and if I go into build/buy the music plays over the looping load music, if I go into Live mode I hear all the life noises over the music. It is especially bad when I go in and out of the gallery, I have had 3 or 4 songs on top of each other.
What do you expect to see? I do not want to have to keep restarting my game. It was so bad before that I truly stopped playing for almost a year and when I came back there had been an update and it seemed fine. Then I installed parenthood, jungle adventures, patio stuff and movie stuff and it is happening again and I really don't want to have to stop playing again ☹️
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I posted about this initially in the original music loop thread (2014!) which has been marked as fixed, however I am having this issue again.

    • Fixed an issue where multiple music tracks could end up looping and playing simultaneously.

    I hope this issue is fixed for good now in Patch 1.51.75

    I will be locking this thread as it's a bit on the older side and with this, supposed to be fixed.

    If you still experience this, please create a new thread. This is to adequately show how many people are still affected after this fix.

    I was the OP in 2014 - this issue is worse than ever for me now. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, had the game on multiple computers, deleted config files, done save file shenangians you name it, if its listed as a possible fix on the web somewhere, I've done it. When I just mute the music I feel like the glitch is still happening in the background or something because eventually it will just lag and glitch and then crash.

    It has gotten so bad, I mean SO bad. I'm having to close the game and restart it multiple times in one sitting. Just to build a house the other night I ended up closing and restarting 4 times just from going between live and build/buy.

    I'm really frustrated, I initially stopped playing 4 and went back to 3 until Jungle Adventures came out. I've gotten really into 4 now despite the issues, but it has gotten so much worse that it is getting difficult to play. And of course this is happening right before Strangerville, which I am SO excited for.

    I wonder if there is any correlation to those of us having the issue and having bought the base game CD versus the download. It is the only CD I have purchased for 4, but I've noticed in talking to my sim streamer friends on twitch that all of them have the downloads and none of them have this issue on stream.

    This overlapping music glitch is driving me nuts. I've been searching the forums for a fix, and just see that more people are having the same issue. With all the patches and updates that take  my slow laptop eons to download/inistall, it seems one of them would have fixed this bug. It used to only happen occasionally, but now it's every time I start the game. I click on the household I want to play from the map and when it starts to load, there's two different "songs" looping over each other and one never stops. So I either have to restart, which takes forever, or turn my music all the way down in the options menu, which kinda sucks because as someone else said I enjoy the background music when it's supposed to be playing.  Have I missed a resolution to the problem somewhere? Am I even in the right thread for this problem now?
