Certain veils should no longer force Sims to have red hair (seriously, what is it with this update and red hair?)

Whenever my Sim wears the sari from the Wedding Stories Game Pack, it glitches her hair into a red color, and when I try to change the hair color back in CAS, it still shows it set to black. Not sure why this is happening but the outfit is the wedding sari with the head draping. Maybe this is part of the problem. I just want to get married and have pictures of my sims representing their actual selves. Also, there are no other saris to use, so my Indian sims currently have no options for their weddings.
@i_bores To be sure I understand you correctly, you put on the dress and the hair color switched and then you can't set it to any other color after that and the selection is stuck to black ?
I tried this in my game and it works fine for me
I’m also having this issue. My sims hair black, but when I put on that dress it changes it to red.
Yes, I do have mods/CC and it’s all swatches.
