Can you confirm or deny that the issue is finally fixed now ?
Currently playing a one sim family with no CC/mods/script mods.
The time still slows to ultra speed and refuses to return to "hyper" speed after a maid/mailman visits, or a job opportunity dialogue window pops up while the sim is at work.
The patch notes made a very vague point about time returning to "ultra speed" once the maid has left the household, but that would insinuate the third speed type, rather than the unactivatible faster speed.
After observing for a few days, have noticed it is very inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I have flushed the cache, deleted saves and the tray folder and noticed no difference.
Another discovery is that when max speed occurs after the maid leaves, should the player slow time and then attempt to speed it back up again (I.e. briefly speed 1, then speed 3) the fastest speed will not automatically kick back in, leaving you to twiddle thumbs as you wait for the work day to end slowly. ☹️
So the temporary workaround would be once your sim has gone to work, don't touch time controls at all and hope that a job opportunity doesn't spawn.
