Might have something to do with this: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Bird-of-Paradise-Plants-Won-t-Produce-Flowers/m-p/6914969#M67817
Originally, that is starting from the very first Seasons patch, I didn't have any Bird of Paradise. I hadn't ever spliced to get one or otherwise obtained it.
When I first loaded up my save after the patch, there were just some normal-quality Bird of Paradise plants in my household inventory. I simply sold those off and started splicing for them the normal way.
Eventually (veeeery eventually, thanks to splicing changes, hoo boy) I successfully spliced for a single bird of paradise, which I then grew into the single Perfect quality one that I had included in one of my screenshots.
I didn't actually have any issues with it producing flowers, though, like many in that other thread did.
I even took my single perfect BoP out of storage today and replanted it, and it still produced flowers without issue.
No new "normal" copies popped up either, so I'm not sure if it's tied to my personal garden, or some other activity.

Hi @Iyasenu
Would you also be willing to send us the save game where you are experiencing this issue? Instructions here:
Thanks a million!

Hi @Iyasenu
I tested this with opening a bunch of rare seed packets as @ValiantRedKnight suggested and ended up with 4 bird of paradise plants in my household inventory.
Did you open any ? I don't think this is a bug and they are appearing in the household inventory on purpose.

@SimGuruIcarus Sorry for the delayed response on this.
First time sharing a save game, but here's the Drive link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1V0xSv-ZkhdatCraMeDtO4_QwGycK2lGX
Is that how it's done?
The Bird of Paradise plants are in the Asher family's household inventory.
It's the plant that has 17 in its stack.
