Seems this was fixed with the patch as well as there was no answer.
Going to mark this as fixed for now but leave open for a moment longer.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? After the latest update and the installation of country living any sims i had changed the names of , reverted back to their original names
What happens when the bug occurs? Their name reverts to their original names
What do you expect to see? Them keep the name they were changed to

Any sims who i changed their names or changed their surnames when they married reverted to their original name
Seems in the other thread this was merged with, there are two completely separate issues. One is having sims names disappearing, (blank names) and the other is names changing. I think these need to be separated once again to avoid confusion. I've been having names revert to the original NPC they were based on. I have not seen any names vanish. People are claiming the bug is fixed, but are referring to the vanishing names returning after the hot patch. That's all well and good, but it doesn't address the name changing issue which still exists after the hot patch.
