    Gold rays will only appear for the Occult picker in the Create a Sim UI the first time it is opened/viewed.

    Fixed in Patch 1.114.46/2.12
    Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issues

I have the same problem, it's driving me nuts. Only I just started playing the game again last month. BTW I just discovered this question and it's strange that there hadn't been a single reply to this post until now 🙂
