[FIXED] [OR] [JA] Game crashes when travelling to vacation world with friends

I think theres been a problem with vacation worlds since EA decided to make them playable for game events like a wedding or pool party. Sucks everytime they add things to the game they break it

Hi there! Thank you for your help : ) I did have some non-household members on vacation with me, so I sent them all home. Even after I sent them home, my game still continued to crash when I tried "exploring the woods" or manually changing lots. I am going to go in and try re-sending my household on vacation without the extra sims and giving that a try. 

I do use some custom content for CAS items. I only recently got into CC and don't know much about how it all works, this may be a silly question, but will moving the Mods folder out and deleting the localthumbcache do any harm to my game/reset anything? If I continue having issues after sending my Sims on vacation again with only the household, then I'll check the crash txt files and follow up with you here. Thank you so much, again! 

Tried going on vacation without extra non-household family members tagging along and I was able to travel around just fine. Thank you for your help! I can finally go exploring! :D

@rosemilkteaa  I'm glad to hear your game is working again.  Since you have the same crashing issue as others whose sims have traveled with non-household members, I've merged your post into the master bug thread.

For future reference, moving the Mods folder out will remove all mods and cc from your saves, that is if you load them without the content present.  So in a save you load, your sims won't be wearing their cc items, and any mod-provided traits or careers will disappear.  As long as you don't save your progress though, you can put the mods and cc back later, or install updated versions of the files, and your saves should be intact.  It's a useful test when your game is crashing for no reason; just remember not to save.

Was actually able to fix your save. I do think it's the same error as the other as you have 2 parties in Salvadorada which make the game crash.

I was able to load one family that's there (Le Fay in Willow Creek) and then make them go home. After that the crashing to go to the world stopped for me. It looks like that family fits the constellation issue from what I can tell (there's a teen in the pool that doesn't seem to belong to the household). Merging this thread with the travel crash one.

@troshalom Are you travelling with the constellation mentioned by me on the first page ? Active Sim + Household Member + NPC ?

omg!! howd you fix my save?? how do i fix it on my computer? 

@crinrictI think one or two of the Sims may be NPC sims as my sim went on vacation with 4 female sims from work. One of the females I created but don't play, the other 3 may all be NPCs not sure. I can check when I log on the PC and load the game again.

The Sims in the purple boxes were invited on the vacation.

If they are out of world are they NPC?

NPC = Everyone you not currently have in your active household. (aka Non-Played Character)
