Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
What is your current game version number? 1.97.62.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Bust the Dust (is disabled)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? No idea how it happened.
What happens when the bug occurs? Some of my paintings from reference that are located in an inventory have gone blank. And some of the pictures in that same inventory (the memory box thingy from Growing Together) have gone black).
What do you expect to see? Paintings from Reference actually showing the painting. The paintings I lost were from Sims generations ago that I cannot recover. Nor do I know when they went blank (so I cannot go back to an older version of the save to see if I can recover them that way either, I've already tried that...)
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I'm gutted that I lost the paintings of my first generation Sims. They were gorgeous Paintings from Reference from my original Queen and her husband. I was painting another monarch and added the picture to the collection in the Memory box thingy and discovered that the two paintings of the 2 founding Sims had gone blank. Just 2 of the 18 that were in the stack. The others are still showing the actual paintings. And several pictures that were in the box (of when the Sims in previous generations of the family were in the younger lifespans) have gone black.
I truly wish EA would finally fix this bug, because it's causing me huge head-aches... and other than using mods to actually recover the urns of the Sims in question (this is a save that I keep un-modded on purpose!) and then revive the Sims in question in the hope of being able to recreate those pictures and paintings there's no way that I'll ever be able to recover those...
