- Parent Sims will no longer get stuck standing idly in front of the crib when trying to interact with their sleeping baby.

I'm having problems with the parent standing there doing nothing even after I gave them a command to set the mobile to lullaby or soothe the infant to sleep. They ignore my command and then insert their own action to take the infant out of the crib and put them on the floor. Over and over I tell them to put the infant to sleep in the crib (using "put to sleep" command, not simply "put in crib". They put the infant down in the crib, ignore my next command to soothe the infant to sleep (or tell story, or turn on lullaby) and then take the infant out and put them on the floor instead.
EDIT to add: It looks like what is happening is that the infant does the "try to go night night" while the parent just stands there, and when the time on that runs out, the parent takes the infant back out of the crib. I watched it while having the infant selected. As soon as the circle timer for the "go night night" action ran out, the parent instantly canceled the command I had given him and picked the infant up.

This is happening to me too. They will often not follow through on the play lullaby command after putting the infant in the crib. It’s about 50/50 whether they’ll do it. And def the problem of taking the infant out and putting it on the floor.
True Confessions:
I was so frustrated at one point that I used UI cheats to cheat Mom's energy into a failure so she would pass out on the floor and let the baby sleep. She stood there with Energy Failure queued for hours and hours, but didn't pass out--nor did she take the baby out of the crib.
I'm not sure I'd suggest that as a workaround, however.
I'd been searching for a post like this. I ended up creating a new one but my issue is crib/high chair AND playmat. More often on crib and play mat. Nothing can get accomplished b/c of how constantly they pick up the infant.
Is this a bug or is there a way to fix it?
I have moved my sims out of their home into another. No mods/CC but happens with minimal mods as well. I have completed the game repair, deleted appropriate files, all the usual steps and nothing fixes this. It has made my game unplayable when it happens. If the infant does fall asleep b/c moodlets drop that low, then the parent(s) will walk away and complete other actions. They won't do anything else even if directed while this is happening.
