Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.93.146.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have all packs except High School Years, Werewolves, Journey to Batuu, Paranormal, My First Pet, Toddler, Fitness, Kids Room and Spooky Stuff. The only kits I have are Everyday Clutter, Desert Luxe and Bust The Dust.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I can share screenshots.
What happens when the bug occurs? At first I was unable to save my game because I was receiving Error Code 0. Then, it would allow me to save but I would come back to the game and find all my progress gone. Now, when I attempt to load the game or even recover from a previous save point everything is gone, and there are error symbols over every lot (the same symbol that appears when lot is incomplete).
What do you expect to see? I expect to see all of my lots and families in tact. This is years and years worth of progress.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated to the most recent patch, and before that I recently purchased My Wedding Stories. I can't say this issue happened before then.
I have tried all the suggestions under the original Error Code 0 threads; I've repaired the game through Origin, generated a fresh saves folder by moving my original folder to desktop, by putting my saves back one at a time I was able to determine that this bug occurs in at least 3 files and 1 recovered file. When I play a new game I don't encounter any error codes. So it seems my save files are corrupted, but I can't recover them as every time I do, all my households and lots are gone with all of the error symbols appearing above lots as well. I tried saving using Save As and that didn't work either.
Please let me know if you can help. Thank you.
