    There might still be an issue with those that were black before.

    Have you tried if the adding some paint helps, then re-upload to see if it continues to become black ?

    Yes, that is the solution. I removed from the gallery and added paint then re-uploaded and it fixed the textures. It seems any pets that were uploaded BEFORE the patch will continue to be affected.
