This only began after the update that was supposed to fix it was downloaded and installed. My Sim made a lunch bag but couldn't move it to their inventory and the lunch bag was left on the table. LastException file appeared in The Sims 4 folder: AssertionError('[Object Manager] [tingyul] Attempting to move an object that is not in this manager')
CRINRICT, I checked. This happens when the Sim goes to work. He is still at home and active, but the lunch bag cannot be put in inventory. At other times, the lunch bag can be moved to inventory without error.
@crinrict I was wrong. The error appeared at other times as well. After restarting the game, it was not there, and then it appeared again.
@akulinajenya by what means are you putting it in the inventory ? Put in inventory or dragging ? Have you tested multiple Sims/Saves/different kind of food) ?
I tried in several households, different neighborhoods, different food. They prepare the sack and then when you click put in inventory, the bag ends up floating next to the sim. Dragging into inventory also not possible. No mods, this happened after a recent update I guess.
@IrisuChan I was not able to put it in the fridge or inventory, the sim just resets. The only way to fix this was to eat the lunch, nothing else worked. This has always happened before the sim goes to work.
This is exactly what happens in my game as well, in some households. Not in ALL households though, just some of them. There's no commonality between the households where it happens and the ones who do not though.
I have one household where in her Tiny Residential lot, she can pack a meal into a sack lunch and put it into inventory just fine, but if she's on her Retail lot (which has living quarters on the 2nd floor) this glitch happens when she tries to pack a lunch.
I have another household that lives in a San Myshuno apartment where this happens in their apartment. They also own a retail location and for that household, it does NOT happen at the retail location...they can pack food into sack lunches there with no problems.
And I have one more household that I play, in the same game, that has no problems at all with it.
In all instances where there is a problem, it happens whether I am trying to pack an existing meal into a sack lunch or make a new sack lunch from scratch using the pie menu option on the refrigerator for that. Also, in all instances, I had no problems at all prior to the most recent game updates. Updates which, perhaps not coincidentally, did make some changes to the tuning file for object/container storage.

I do use mods, but I have confirmed that the problem occurs with no mods at all installed (and clearing caches after removing them).
My workaround for those households who are having the problem is to make a group meal and go to the lot location where it does work for them and pack sack lunches for the whole week which I keep in their refrigerator. Tedious, but it works for me.
Someone in the forums suggested I see if saving the lot to my Tray, then bulldozing it, then putting the lot back down resolves the issue. I tried it, and it does.
I had a lot of Handiness upgrades on things at the location which I lost, of course, doing this. Now I'm going to try replacing all of the upgrades before doing much of anything else on the lot, to see if an upgrade is part of this problem.
