[FIXED] Plants shrink after harvesting/ Turns into harvestable

For reference this is what my garden looks like right now. Sometimes the plants and trees pop back up but go missing again when I use buy/build mode or harvest, water, sell etc or just randomly disappear. https://imgur.com/a/ND9QkTg

To clarify none of those are freshly planted. I started my garden in early June when I got Eco. Everything was working fine until a patch ruined it.

I'm having a similar problem on the PS4 (base game only), though for me when it happens the plants return to a state as if they were just planted. They also seem to start over their growth as if just planted. For example the only plants I have growing right now are 8 dragon fruit plants, and one entire planter just seemed to reset and it seems to be taking just as long for it to grow back as it normally would. This is the second time it has happened, and the first time it happened to both planters at the same time. I don't know if it's a factor or not, but this never happened when I had my planters indoors and has only happened since moving them outside.

I'll include some screenshots. One of them is highlighting the status of the plants just after they reset, one is showing the available options on them during this state, and then the last one is showing how they've looked for the last day or two.

Are you SURE you don't have any CC or mods installed?

I know some people are having the problem on console... I just can't figure it out. Same save, yet it works great on mine but not yours?

@PsychotpsThat's amazing! Could you do me a favor and use the rocket ship, travel through wormhole and go to Sixam(if you have the pack). There's one tree I could never harvest, it would never grow it was always just a pile of dirt and even when I used testingcheats I couldn't harvest it. Could you check it out please?

The very first mod I got was for the insect farm, nurture gives more health. I took it out a long time ago though cause not interested in playing with the insects.

And recently I got your gardening for all seasons mod.

As far as I know there are no mods for console Sims 4.

Also have you tried going to buy mode and buying something? My plants would go poof sometimes when I did that. 

A few observations that may help - I am currently playing with only Base Game + Eco Living; no cc/mods - never used. 

Neighborhood Eco Footprint Neutral or Green with Lot Eco Footprint Neutral or Green (no community garden)

• Sage & Basil go to harvestable after sell or harvest; just visual - returns after 6 am
• Cow plant goes to little dirt mound with horns when a sim eats the cake (visual only); will evolve to next stage (little head) if fed, but it never seems to evolve any further (visually). I kept an eye on it, and fed it when the interaction menu changed to "eat cake" or "feed". It evolved immediately to the little cow head, but the menu stayed at the default (feed/pet/play with) for at least 2 sim-weeks and never presented the "eat cake" or "feed" choices again.
• If fertilized 1 item / plant, they're fine; if fertilize more than one item / plant (queue fertilize action, or fertilize quickly so it uses 1 item for more than one plant), they all turn into dirt piles that are not interactable
• Fertilize either way before harvesting removes all harvestables; need to sell or harvest before fertilizing
• Evolve works normally

Eco Footprint Green (lot & neighborhood) with Community Garden

• Quality increases on plant without evolving; harvestables taken from these plants can be one quality level below (excellent plant yields nice harvestables), this may be related to how green the lot is. I was able to get all perfect harvestables from plants marked as perfect after a few days.
• Planted harvestables from quality increased by eco footprint grow from that quality
• If pause & queue fertilize, all turn into dirt piles that are not interactable; if fertilized 1 item / plant, they're fine
• Fertilize either way before harvesting removes all harvestables; need to sell all or harvest before fertilizing
• Cow plant seems to be working the same way as above, this new one has just evolved to an adult. I've managed to feed it every time it presents the cake, and it's remaining full grown visually and still gets the cake tongue every 24 hours or so.

When placing a community garden for the first time, I noticed that anything planted at the community lot grows and evolves at a different pace (thankfully!). This makes sense - you don't have to spend the night there to get anything to grow. However, whatever changes they made that keeps the gardens moving forward in the community garden lot may be having an unintended effect on home gardens.

For me, the base game "bugs" are the visual one - sage and basil revert to harvestables on the ground when harvested or sold (visual only); the fertilize queue one - fertilize more than one plant with the same item and they revert to dirt mounds with no interactions; and finally, fertilizing before selling or harvesting removes all the harvestables
Obviously, EL and Seasons add different layers that may be adding more interactions / checks on the plants. Insect farms / bees / gardeners / NAPs all have a lot of working parts that could layer on additional issues.

There are a massive amount of interactions in the base game patch, plus trying to incorporate all the working parts with EL. Like everyone else, I'm hoping they are able to nail down a fix soon.  🤞

@Psychotps Like I said, I didn't mean to sound rude or for you to take my words the wrong way. I'm a Computer Repair Engineer, so problem solving and troubleshooting is part of my job too (hence why I'm staying with this issue). In my Sims 4 game (PC), I have no CC or Mods, and the expansion/game pack I have are: Get To Work, Get Famous, Discover University, Vampires, Realm Of Magic, Parenthood. In my current Household's garden (the one I've been playing since before the troublesome patch) there are:

• least 2 of each tree (Plantain, Apple, Cherry, Pomegranate, Lemon, Growfruit, Plasma-Fruit, two spliced Apple-Cherry and one Forbidden Fruit Tree).
• At least one of every flower (including Death Flowers).
• At least one of every Sixam plant (including the medusa one).
• At least one of every seed packet obtainable vegetable (including garlic, potatoes, onions etc).
• At least one of every seed packet obtainable fruit.
• One Cowplant (my second).

I've attached a screenshot of the how the garden looks right now, and everything is "visible" (i.e. it hasn't reverted), but if I were to have the Sim in the Household who has Level 10 Gardening (skill), or the sim who has the perk which boosts plant vitality, tend the garden, harvest things, or fertilise anything, there is a high chance that some of the plants will change (often if they aren't on-screen for a moment).  Also, what happens most, is that the vitality/quality of any of the plants in the garden will change almost randomly, regardless of the fact that a chunk of them are fertilised (with either Mushrooms of Growfruit), and that all of them get tended to at least once per Sim-Day.  One other thing I've noticed happen, that I thought I'd mention (though I don't know if it's a bug or not), the number of times that fully-grown plants will in the garden have automatically become ready to evolve, the moment they've been fertilised.  And in case the feed wondered where the Household live, I've also attached a screenshot of the Secret Underground Research Installation (the lot is called "Nope, Nothing To See Here").
