The December updated patched a bunch of stuff but the harvestable and cooking bug wasn't addressed I'd expect this kind of game breaking sloppiness from Bethesda but not EA. Also I am on XB1.

I have played every single sims game since release. Sims 1 was incredibly funny, and every week there was a "Sims Day" (I think Tuesday, but cannot be certain) with some sort of free content or fun blog post to read. I so looked forward to it. My jaw dropped when I saw the trailer for sims 2. Loved the game. Sims 3 I also loved, except for the part where it ate my PC graphics card because of a framerate issue that was never addressed. Twice. Enjoyed the console version not quite so much because it rapidly lost support because of bugs, and then they removed the exchange access. Ever since EA took over maxis though, I guess around Sims 2, there has been a veritable plague of bugs. So I ALWAYS expect bugs from the only EA game I will even bother with anymore, The Sims. The console version of Sims 4 was actually virtually unplayable upon release. You could not even save the game properly, so there was no point in trying to play. I continue to give EA my money because I love The Sims. I honestly almost did not get the Sims 4 because of my experience with the Sims 3. I swore I would not buy it, but thenI actually bought xbox one JUST so I could play Sims 4 on it. Hopelessly in love with the Sims games, but I know what I will get, and just cross my fingers that it will be supported enough to get rid of the bugs that break the game.
