[FIXED] [PS/XB] Build Mode Undo Button That Brings Up The Search Menu

    Hitting the Undo button on the controller no longer pulls up the search bar in Build Mode.

    Fixed in Patch 1.103.250/1.84

    @mumofharry Good to hear. Guess the other user didn't patch then. Leaving this open till tomorrow.

I’m having the same issue and it’s driving me nuts. Both actions get carried out: undo happens but the search bar also pops up every time! I have to undo a bunch of stuff and it takes 20 minutes to do that because I keep having to close the search everytime I undo. It’s frustrating

Could someone share a video of the issue occurring?

EDIT: Thank you for the information and videos that have been provided thus far.  This issue has been difficult to track down; it is still under investigation.

    @TheSimsDirect I will try to post a video when it happens again but tbh and im not being rude but if you could just change the controls back to how they were it would fix the problem please change them back

      @TheSimsDirect I noticed when i used record on my ps5 the search bar dosent show up in the playback probably because its part of ps5 so i had to do it from my phone but it wont let me upload i will send via twitter

    @TheSimsDirect I’ll try and post a video when I get home. Sometimes it doesn’t happen so I don’t know what causes it to start but I’ll try and get a video of it

    @TheSimsDirect I'm not set-up to take videos unfortunately but instead I attach images of what happens when I hit Undo and the second image is what happens when I hit Redo. It's most but not all of the time and is worse in Freebuild.

    Continued: I didn’t notice that the part where the keyboard search box pops up didn’t show but that’s what normally happens in the second option. You hit R2 to undo the action and the search keyboard pops up instead of just undoing.

    I got a better video of what happens. When you hit L2 to undo, it both undos and opens search. When you hit R2 to redo, it brings up the filter box. I’ve also run into the issue like I said before, where it won’t let me toggle back to free move with the arrow.

      @_awkwardlezbean Yes the undo button L2 also opens up the search and will do it at the same time. I've had the same happen in my game. It's interesting because L2 is search, undo and change how the objects snap to the grid.

        @Bearpal64 Exactly! And it does both actions at once. For some reason when I screen record it doesn’t show the search keyboard that comes up but that’s what happens as well as, undoes the previous action. The controls are all messed up. I keep randomly getting stuck on toggle too and have to restart the game when that happens to move the arrow freely again

    You guys require a video, yet make it completely impossible and unsupported to post one. VERY smart! The problem is STILL with the L2 button in build mode, being binded to both the undo AND the searchbar command. Very annoying, very stupid choice. Are you “developers” even reading our complaints and fixing what poor choices you implemented in the game that no one was asking for? Like PLEASE GIVE US THE GAME WE USED TO HAVE BEFORE THE UPDATE! It’s not that hard!!!!

      Still not fixed, and they expect me to repurchase dlc that I already own in PC? Robbery and neglect of service. I wouldn't like the developers if I ran into one on accident. They sound like the neighbor who wants to "borrow" your drill for "just the weekend".
