Discover university, island living, get famous, seasons, cats and dogs, city living, get together, get to work, strangerville, jungle adventure, parenthood, vampires, dineout, spa day, outdoor retreat, moshino, laundry day, toddler, bowling night, backyard, kids room, movie hangout, cool kitchen, perfect patio
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Edit an existing sim, apply makeup, then try to continue editing other categories, or scroll through makeup menu.
What happens when the bug occurs? Makeup changes to completely different colour and style (say for example bright green lips from a nude colour and bright yellow eyeliner from black) when backing out of the makeup menu, changing things like hair and accessories or even just scrolling through the makeup menu.
What do you expect to see? I expect the makeup to stay the same as applied.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The March 2021 patch.

- @82356gj6gz Merged your post with the main thread but it sounds like it might be a more general issue then the M.A.C. Does it happen for all makeup for you ?
- @crinrict Thinking back, it was the mac makeup that it switched to.

Having the same issue. Can't make any new families or really play at all. It is so annoying.
Same thing is happening to me on PS4.

As of today, the same has been happening with me on all aspects of makeup. Blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lipstick are changing colors and styles.
I just bought the vintage glamor and the cats and dogs pack. The glitch JUST started happening. I looked everywhere for help and found nothing. I even Uninstalled the game the reinstalled. The same problem kept happening. Someone please help.
- @DoctorPhilLovesU Annoying isn't it, until it's finally (hopefully) addressed in a patch some simmers have started avoiding using the sliders and MAC makeup. My vintage glamour and get to work makeup is working fine so far but the problem seems to vary for each of us. If you stick to base game makeup just for the time being it might help. I also found clicking RB then LB on my controller after each outfit item change when it affects child Sims helps by somehow erasing the makeup when I change outfit category and then go back. When it affected the pets too, I could do nothing but delete them.
I really hope we see a mention of it on a laundry list for upcoming fixes soon as it affects so much of the CAS experience. Hope this helps.It's taking a few attempts to create toddlers. I usually just have to keep deleting and recreating them. But my Sims usually adopt and I can't delete them just because they are plastered in eyeshadow that won't come off. So I've had to leave an adorable toddler with smokey eyes as cringe as that is. I have a workaround but it doesn't always work.
It's like the pets you adopt. They often have outfits for walkies but no outfit category for them. So they have to keep a frilly dress you can't remove.
CAS needs a massive overhaul and as a Spa Day pack owner I should be chuffed fingernails and manicures are arriving but instead I'm waiting for the inevitable CAS bugs to flutter in with them.
Yet again, more content instead of stability fixes. I don't mean to sound ungrateful but I've spent hundreds on this game and expect a more customer driven experience for an expensive product instead of ooh simmers look at this new shiny thing!

Unfortunately, CAS is still very much broken since the sliders additions in my game and this has gone on a long time now. Instead of improving it the new feature of nails made it worse and I feel that should have waited until this bug was fixed.
I really hope all focus is on bug fixes right now. I see previews of new ideas to come while these major bugs remain.
I avoid even touching MAC makeup or the sliders but sometimes as you add a new Sim they are already wearing MAC makeup. I just have to delete them as I know I'll have issues with that Sim and even deleting the makeup won't stop that.
I really hope and expect this is number one priority along with stability, crashing and the game lag/bloat issue. People can't play their games in the way they should be able to...and have paid a lot of money for. As I said on another feed, we can wait for new features as once this is fixed it's going to feel like new stuff when we can actually use it.
