[FIXED] Reaper's Rewards: Wait for/Read Newsletter Task Not Completing

@crinrict I am CURRENTLY playing in a new save, having done the troubleshooting you advised in another reaper related glitch.  I don't use mods or cc EVER, too much trouble.  Let me know if you want my save!  I do currently have a scenario playing out, the plant a sim scenario.  (If you want to test, I'm not particularly attached to it or this new save, willing to forego the scenario to test.). Oh!  I got the letter, read it, clicked ONE of the lessons, and it didn't check off.  

(For clarity purposes, on my old save, there was a scenario running in another household, the tasks showed up when I first loaded and cleared, but when coming back to the game they disappeared.

I have the same problem. I receive the letter read it but the task is still not showing as completed. 

The same problem. All packs, clear cash, no mods, new save etc.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Proceed through Grim's quests for A Care Away (?) until you are waiting for the newsletter to deliver. Note: I am using a brand new save file for this event, and mods are turned off and removed.

So, I tried the following and I was able to finish the quests in the new save by doing this:

1. Turn off mods and remove them from mods folder.

2. Repair game in EA app.

3. Start game again and play through. It should tick off the task once you attempt it again (such as waiting for mail to deliver the newsletter or planting lilies or snapdragons again.)

it's very possible that other events are conflicting (and mods), so if you have this issue, please try the following

1. Rename your user folder to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_CUR (for example, you can use any name really)

2. Repair your game through EA app/Steam/Origin

3. Start the game. All your regular stuff will be gone but everything is in that renamed folder

4. Start a new save game (don't use scenarios)

5. Start a new family (use a regular residential lot)

6. Check if you can now do the task or if it's completed)

It's important that you don't skip any steps. Some of may have already tried part of this but just try it again, with these steps.

The only thing you miss out on on your regular save is learning how to make ambrosia but if you want that in your regular game, just make it again on the regular game without the event. To rewards are tied to your account. Whatever you claim WILL be in any save you start.

Also don't pause the game before any loading screens. Still a bit fuzzy on the details here but that seems to cause the empty goals. 

EDIT: What kind of residential lot are you guys playing on ?

Same thing is happening to me aswell. I expedited the delivery, had 3 mailmen show up, read the letter and now not getting credit for it. 

Well, I don't have any mods and I installed the Sims recently in my new laptop so I wouldn't think it's that, either way I don't know how to repair the game just in case, anyone could explain that to me please?

the postmen could not get to my mailbox. so it did not count for the event.. I have placed a new mailbox and  fixed
