[FIXED] [ROM] Spellcaster Level Reset

I'm having the exact same issue.  I have all but one stuff pack, i maxed the rank and i literally just keep being reset, then then im reset i cant open my perks panel anymore. it also refunds my points. Honestly disappointing considering i literally can't even do the most basic of things in this new pack. I have maxed it about 5 times now and its just getting infuriating of not even being able to use spells i've already learned. The bar which shows the progression also keeps going black

I think I have found where the problem comes from. When I created my new wizard's sims, I added the "old line" trait, I just deleted this trait and the problem disappeared. I think the problem comes from these Character Traits.

1. An existing file. When I first tried to play with it I was using an existing family in an existing file. I tried both the normal grinding way and the testing cheats way and the problem occurred both times. I later used a form of the same sim from the gallery in the same file and the problem occurred again.

2. No. I keep various forms of the same sim in the gallery, be it young adult, child, vampire, etc. I change them from the human form, save them, and then use them so I do not have to deal with any complications that comes from long term play from one game to the next.

3. I have used the same type of sim from the gallery, mostly; I am not sure if you would count them as different sims even if they were fresh without any real gameplay. I did not push the others that far, but I saw someone mentioning the bloodline traits. I did add the ancient bloodline trait to these sims. I can test without it.

What happens when the bug occurs? Magic perk points and leveling up stop
What do you expect to see? To gain perk points points by lvling up

This has happened to me as well, but it was after I made my sim into a spellcaster and added a bloodline trait via cheats. To get the perks menu to pop up again I had to completely exit and reload the game.

Is there any word from EA that this issue will be fixed? I know they just made an update today but obviously the bug still persists. Even if you're using cheats something like this shouldn't be happening...

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play with Minerva Charm, rank her spellcasting to Virtuoso, and then gain more ranks after that. It will start deranking her as she gains experience past the Virtuoso rank.
What happens when the bug occurs? Minerva's spellcaster rank starts deranking and she loses the perks she bought with the levels associated with the ranks lost.
What do you expect to see? I expect the system to be similar to Grandmaster vampires, where she's able to continue getting points to spend on perks, but her Virtuoso rank stays the same, even when it reaches the end of the experience bar.

I've been playing with Minerva Charm, and when she ranks up her spellcasting level past Virtuoso, it boots her back down to master, and continues to derank her as she gets more experience. I hope the bug doesn't carry on to my grandmaster vampires too, but I haven't tested that.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Can't tell. It bugs out at Spellcaster rank master and virtusoso to talent points just reset itself and I can't access the talent points menu.
What happens when the bug occurs? Spellcaster ranks and talent points bugs out and the menu won't load.

I have a spellcaster rank at Virtusoso. But, the rank keeps bugging between master and virtusoso. And talent points and menu is bugging resetting itself and unable to use the talent points menu.

What happens when the bug occurs? My Spellcaster level is 100% maxed out. She’s a virtuoso. As I’m playing the game she slowly drops down in level as in it’s like she getting demoted????

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Travel to the magic realm when at the highest rank and ask a sage to teach you there magic
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim is at the highest rank with all spells from each one learned. My friendship level is high with all three sages but none of them will teach me their magic. For example if i go to a sage and ask them to teach me untamed magic the tell me they cant teach me until im a higher rank. Once the bar for the virtuoso is filled its just goes back down to empty as well.
What do you expect to see? My sim and the sage go to practice magic together, assume that's what they'll do when they want to specifically learn a certain magic.
