I (involuntarily) can confirm this, using a totally different lot. I had the same issues you described. The "Go here" button wouldn't even show up, but only where the roof is lower - I didn't have the problem in the very center of where the roof is and when I put in a higher roof the issue only appeared at the edges.
I also used a lot of clutter (mostly CC) and greenery (some CC), so I thought that was my issue. I randomly came upon a Google result regarding a bug in The Sims 3, which seemed similar. Someone commented "Id check to see if there is a roof line getting in the way since it is the third floor." and I thought I'd try it because rebuilding the room and removing the clutter from the house resulted in the same problem.
So, after much frustration and finally finding the bug I thought I'd make a report here. Unfortunately, I guess too few people had this problem as well, so I doubt any sunken house can have roofs anytime soon ☹️
Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that's it's not limited to just you...
Btw, my lot is the largest one in Mirage Park.
Hi, I also have this problem except I deleted the ground floor room, lowered the first floor down and added stairs to the front so I have a 'floating' platform with rooms set back on it. As soon as I add roof pieces over the porch (on the second floor) to the build my sim can't access the porch and theres no 'go here' option. If the roof is only over the rooms it works fine. I've tried changing lots and still have the same problem.
I also don't have any CC/mods.
