Have had no problems until the recent patch and seasons So far this has happened for the preexisting fall and winter holidays, however, when a non reoccurring holiday "Night on the Town" happened it worked fine and I was alerted it was happening and got the pop up on the screen with the goals and everything. I turned off all mods and cc and I still didn't get any alert there was a holiday, I also tried repairing my game.

Marking this as fixed. If anyone still has issues on a vanilla game, please create a new thread.

My situation is similar, but not exactly the same. About half my households are not getting time off from work on holidays have a day off in their description (like New Years Eve or Winterfest). No CC/mods enabled.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)

Tray Folder

Screenshots/Videos/Custom music

Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)

Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....

Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I am also having this problem... They would happen for maybe one or two Holidays and then suddenly... Didn’t happen anymore.

I just played a new game and it worked fine, must be a glitch with my save

Yes it even happened with that save. I only added back in mccc and little ms sams mods, but even without those mods it wouldn’t work.

Did you update littlemisssams mods and MCCC to newest version ?

Guess I'll check out your save. Do you remember how long it took until it occured ?
