[FIXED] [S] Holiday Decoration Box becomes unowned after moving/In R-Rentals

Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? Español
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? SP25: 1.assets.beta-sp25.63
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I think is a problem with rental and residential homes. I hope you can fix the problem about who owns the property
What happens when the bug occurs? When in a holiday (like harvest fest) my sims can’t decorate their home when using the decoration box. When clicking on the option it read “*name of the sim* doesn’t own the property” and it’s their residential home
What do you expect to see? The option to decorate the house
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

When any sim of the household is trying to decorate their house in a holiday (like harvest fest) through the “caja de adornos almacén del ático” (in Spanish) a message saying that my sims can’t do it because they don’t own the house, which is false.

    • ‘Holiday Decoration Box’ will no longer become unowned after moving to another Residential lot or Residential Rental lot–take those holiday memories with you!

    Fixed in Patch 1.109.185/1.98
    Please create a new thread if you're still experiencing this issues

    • I had the exact same issue, had an attic deco box and had my sims move houses. When I got to the new house and unpacked I noticed I couldn't drag the box anymore or decorate since it told me I wasn't the owner of the lot. So I went in buy mode and replaced it and everything worked again, I guess decoration boxes are assigned to lot when you buy them, I usually sell all my furniture when I move so that's the first time I see this happening.

    Just what it says. I had a sim move into a rental unit place in Moonwood Mill. Then Love Day rolled around, and exterior decorations appeared without me or my sim doing it, I have the attic box of decorations, but the game won't let me use it to remove anything, says my sim doesn't own it. How can I take these decorations down?

    Decorations seem to be a bit sticky with For Rent. You can try making some Holidays without decorations. You don't need to add any activities or make them days off work, just empty Holidays with no decorations. Travel around to the effected lots on the No Decorations Holiday to let the system clear things up. You can also just edit all Holidays to have no decorations.

    @Hawksdaughter It might take a couple No Decorations Holidays to clear things out. It seems similar to when decorations get stuck on Community Lots.

    Me too, I've tried running the game with no mobs, and still happens

    Decoration box isn’t working to decorate for the holiday because it says my sims don’t own the property. I don’t have the rent pack so they totally own the property.

    @ivoryangel0219 have you tried moving the family to a new lot temporarily? I'd then go to their original home and change the lot type to something else then back to residential. Then move them back into their home using the phone, rather than via Manage Worlds then see if that works.

    Had the lot ever been something else as I've had issues with changed lot types? Also which lot is it in particular?

    If it doesn't work, are you playing on PS/Xbox or on PC with mods or CC?
