I just installed the spa day game pack and am unable to use the sauna in my basement. When I click on it I get the option to upgrade and and sabotage with sulfur, but relax is grayed out and says that the item must be placed indoors.

I tried moving the spa to several different areas in the basement and finally found one where it worked. I am not sure why it worked in some parts of the basement and not others, but this seemed to fix the issue.

Seems it needs to be completely under the house but I'm unsure at this point if that is a bug or intentional.
I'll add it to the list nonetheless.
Mine does not work and its completely closed in . its in the basement but wont work just says needs to be in room. The basment is indoors so why ???
Is it completely beneath the house or is a corner beneath the garden ?
Will be great if this can be fixed.. one can only hope (as obviously it would have a 'ceiling' if 'underground' regardless...).
