    Adventurous Sims will once again be able to push on up to the peak of Mt. Komorebi during their climbing excursion. Onwards and upwards we always say!

    Fixed in Patch 1.97.42/1.73

    I have something similar happening to me. The starting stage at the Onsen I get passed, even though I cannot check readiness of my team-mate (as described in the link), but I still was able to proceed to stage 2. That's where I'm stuck and cannot proceed. I completed all goals required to move onto the next stage, but when I click on "Move On" the pop-up comes asking you again if you wish to "Move On". When I press on "Move On" the window closes and nothing happens, it doesn't load you into the next stage, you are just stuck there. Also, the event, even when the timer runs out, it stays indefinitely until you manually end the event.

    I'm on Version 1.96.365.1030 (no mods either).
    Edit: I also had my game repaired.

      When on Mountain Excursion, game will not "Move On" past second level. Have gold medal and all goals have been met.

        Looks like the issue is a bit different now than in the old thread and more consistent. Looks like a new issue.

      Me too! 

      I'm on PS5 and I can't move past the base camp, I have done all the tasks and press move one, but I just get +friendship above their heads and they never move to the next stage. 

      I have been restarting the social activity, restarting my game and it never gets past that point. 

      I have been trying for a day now.

        After spending $1080 on this game I expect more timely patches for such serious bugs. 

        Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 


        This bug will produce 100% of the time of the following steps occur:

        1. begin a mountain climbing excursion through the plan social event option on the phone. 

        2. proceed to fulfill event requirements until silver

        3. have party gather at trail maker

        4. select “move on” from event goals

        5. Meet new dictated goals for event (rest for one hour, check climbing route, gather party at marker) until you meet silver or gold requirements

        6. select move on from event window

        7. nothing happens and that is the bug

        What happens when the bug occurs?

        the sims become “stuck” in the second stage of the event unable to proceed forward to stage three. Sims do not freeze. The “move on” button in the event task box simply does not initiate or maintain the travel state to stage 3. 


        there is no success in saving and restarting or simply restarting. I have recreated the bug 10 times with no work around discovered. 


        What do you expect to see?

        A loading screen that indicates travel to the third stage. 

        Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?

        Never. I play on console. This bug is exclusive to EA.


        Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? 

        Yes, this issue likely occurred after the infants update. I have successfully reached “the top” and completed the excursion multiple times prior to the update.

      This is exactly what's happening to me. I get all the way to the end of stage 2 and the window pops up to ask if I'd like to "end the excursion" or "move on." I choose "move on" and then the loading screen doesn't trigger for the next stage. I can click the button to "move on" in the event window but that doesn't work either.

    2 weeks since your post and it seems that the problem wasn’t solved, since I’m also having it. Just when I decided to explore this expansion, the update crashes it. 

    I’m able to move from the first part, but the second one just doesn’t go.

    The Excursion Event is entirely broken for me. I've already gone through the loops, disabled vampires, even tred to replace the Onsen. It's the original generic and llama image problem that was reported as fixed.
