    Child Sims will no longer get the Unblessed sentiment after getting Blessed at the Youth Festival. Children should only get the Unblessed sentiment if they ask Yamachan about a Voidcritter Hunt and also avoid getting the Blessing of Youth from an Adult Sim as well. #Blessed

    Fixed in Patch 1.73.48/ 1.40

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Snowy Escape, Eco Living, Discover University, Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get Together, Get To Work Realm of Magic, Strangerville, Parenthood, Dine Out, Jungle Adventure, Spa Day, Outdoor Retreat Nifty Knitting, Laundry Day, Tiny Living, Toddler, Bowling Night, Vintage Glamour, Perfect Patio, Backyard, Movie Hangout
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to Festival of Youth with kids and parents.
What happens when the bug occurs? The parents bless the kids at the festival but after the festival ends, the kids have a "hurt sentiment" towards their parents from being unblessed.
What do you expect to see? NOT a hurt sentiment when they clearly got the blessing from their parents :-)
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I blessed both children by both parents - I even took pictures of all 4 blessings taking place to be sure they were happening. At the festival, the kids get the "Fun at Youth festival" sentiment towards their parents, but once they get home, they have a "Hurt sentiment" from not being blessed at the Youth Festival.

It has happened twice now.


I didn't try with the Hat.

I tried cheatcodes:
modifyrelationship firstname lastname firstname2 lastname2 -100 sentimentTrack_HURT_ST_

with lots of variations, like changing the last part out with:
LT_generic
ST & LT:
_unblessed
_FestivalOfYouth
_festival

etc. but NONE will remove the hurt sentiment.

I'm so annoyed to have to play another week with my sim kids being sad or angry whenever they're around their parents, and the parents subsequently being sad around their children (from being sad about someone nearby being sad).
Miserable household!

I looked around and didn't see any solution... I don't have the option to toggle off sentiments in the gameplay menu, so I can't even do that. Help!

ALTERNATIVE WAY TO REMOVE HURT SENTIMENT FOUND

I just want to add that I experimented with cheats a little and found a way to get rid of the hurt sentiment.

I used:

modifyrelationship firstname lastname firstname2 lastname2 100 sentimentTrack_Adoring_LT_generic

Firstname + lastname = the kids name

Firstname2 + lastname 2 = the parents name

You have to do it 3 times for it to work. The first time, nothing happens.

The 2nd time, the hurt sentiment will be halved. The third time, the hurt sentiment will be replaced by the "Adoring" sentiment.

PS. It doesn't work on Sims with double names (e.g. Mary Kate in their firstname) - you have to change their name so it's only one name in each. Had to find that out the hard way too.

Just putting this here in case anyone's in the same situation as me. 🙂
