Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

protected/covered plants still reset to ungrown stage at begin of their season, then they don't grow at all.
the cowplant also resets.
i have not seen that uncovered trees reset like they did before, so this seems to be fixed (so far) but covered plants are still reseting in begin of their season
...and then they don't grow at all.
