[FIXED] Sim doesn't age up by blowing out candles

Product: The Sims 4 Platform:Steam-PC Which language are you playing the game in? English How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) What is your current game version number? 1.68.154.102...

    According to the patch notes for 1.69.57 this has now been fixed.

    "Happy Birthday to all! Sims will now properly Age Up. Adulting is hard but they will make it, don’t worry."

    I have not yet however had time to investigate if that is the case.

@itsug My Sim has the self-assured trait and did age up!

If a Sim fails to age up, has anyone tried to simply repeat the process with new candles?

Ok, then that is not it.

Yes, I did make a few attempt with the same sim, both before and after succeeding with other sims.

I was thinking it could be trait related, but seems not.

    I can't get my sims to age up with a birthday cake!? I have closed out of the game made sure it was completely updated and nothing is working.

    I had this bug twice, with a young adult aging to adult and a child aging to teen. Or rather not aging. 🤨

    In my game the parents have the self assured trait. I tried to age up child to teen and the same thing happened every time. The only thing I could think of to get him aged up was to start a new game with this family and now it's time for teen to age up. I guess I'll have to start a new game again or wait until they fix the problem.

    I am having this issue with a child sim too. It's actually her birthday amd I've had her blow out the candles at least 5 times. It's also the dad's birthday and he aged up from young adult to adult just fine.
