    Sims will be more discerning over who they decide is worth mourning when an NPC Sim passes away.
    Fixed in Patch 1.47.49

This is happening to me, too. I wouldn’t mind if it was only family and friends, but it also happens when acquaintances my sims have barely even interacted with die.

To me, this issue needs to be a priority. The fact that it hasn't been addressed in any recent patches yet is really concerning to me.
