Fixed in Patch 1.47.49
Sims will be more discerning over who they decide is worth mourning when an NPC Sim passes away.
I am aware that is is probably not the place for feedback but I don't know where or how to send it. Can we please do away with the phone calls every time a sim passes away? My sim has been sad for a week straight because people keep passing away. And these are not even friends or loved ones. They are acquaintances. People she doesn't even know well enough to be mourning. She bumped into them at an event or at work and had one maybe two interactions with them in all the time that they both were living. It interferes her mood at work. She's constantly trying to go to the bathroom to talk to herself in the mirror. She can't ask for vampire training because it says she needs for her mood to be in a better state before she can do so. Please put a stop to this. My sims don't need to know every time someone passes away who isn't a close friend or family member.

Unfortunately, this bug applies to all players. There are two methods that we can use while waiting for EA to fix it,
The first is to buy a mood regulator - unfortunately it costs 1000 points of satisfaction.
The second method that I use is radical and will remove the trace of all the friends of our sim.
I save my family to the library and switch to another family to save the game
Then I move my family from the library to an empty plot, add them cash as much as they had before, plus the value of the house and all friends disappear.
Unfortunately, it may happen that the first person new who they meet the next day will die. And the problem starts again. That's how it happened to me.
@iamsuebert, I thought of something in addition to what @kreatora said. Since your Sim that is constantly sad is a Vampire, I wanted to make sure that that Sim didn't have the Eternal Sadness as one of her Weaknesses?🤔 This will make it much more likely for her to be constantly sad. On the other hand, if she doesn't have this Weakness, she can purchase the Dampened Emotions as one of her Strengths.! :eahigh_file: This comes in 3 different strengths: Dampened Emotions, Suppressed Emotions, and Deadened Emotions. But you Vampire has to be on the 4th tier of strengths for this one, so they have to be pretty powerful for her to be eligible. 🤨
I just thought I would mention this in case you wanted to work within the regular constraints of the game instead of working around them. 🙂 But @kreatora suggestions still might be the way to go.😉
