I checked in a new save.
What I did (since new Sims get random days added) was creating a Sim for each age group and after cheating lots of satisfaction points giving them the youth potions which is supposed to reset them back to beginning of their age group and then checking how many days they have left
Now that said, I have no clue how the ages were cause I never pay attention. I found an older post on Carl's page and not all of them seem to vary.
These are the results I got
- Toddler: Can't drink the potion so no results.
- Child: 7 Days left
- Teen: 7 Days left
- Young Adult: 11 days left
- Adult: 11 Days left
- Elder: 100 days lived
So Child/Teen same as before and YA/A actually a day less ? Maybe that's what messes it up on starting the game ?
The bug on short they fixed was that the Sims randomly lost days from their bar when you went into CAS, reloaded the game and traveled. I can't get that to happen on your save but I can duplicate what you described.
Don't know what to suggest tbh. IMHO I don't think EA is going to do anything about it (but that's just me). If it doesn't happen again when you reload the game each time but is a one time thing, no one would have the issue anymore by the time they fix it.
You can try use the potion/cheats to revert the changes. I think with MCCC you can even set the desired age ?
So for the moment, make sure to keep a backup and post if it happens again after you played a while.
EDIT: I moved your post over from the other thread. It might read a bit weird now but I want to keep the other thread clean :D
