Now that the Long/Short Aging Fix has been applied (yesterday) I decided to test the Fix.
I had started a new save on Normal as suggested to play until the Fix came out. This is the family I decided to test the Fix. It is a remake of the Sims 2 Brandi Broke family.
The youngest child in the family, Christa, is set to age up shortly after I unpause the game.
When I keep it on Normal lifespan, everything works as it should. Christa ages from toddler to child and everything works.
When I changed it to Long, I encountered a problem. First to note is that the conversion of all Sims ages works properly; however, the problem comes in when Christa ages. She first changes from toddler to child. I pause the game to check the aging of everyone else in the family. They remained the same or a day was added. Not certain. I did not memorize it, but the green bar looked to be in the same position for all of them. As soon as I unpaused the game, Christa aged from child to teen. None of the other sims were affected by the aging other than Christa.
To clarify, I did download this family from the gallery a year or so ago, but there is nothing in my mods folder as I removed the mods for the update and the fix. I have played with this family before the recent upgrade and fix problems and not had a problem with my game. I have not reinstalled the mods since the fix was applied.
