[FIXED] Sims can't become soulmates

My sims have 100 Friendship and 100 Romance, are married and BFFs and still won't become Soulmates. I'm trying to complete the Soulmate aspiration, but can't get past part 2 because you need to be soul mates. What can I do??

    Sims can progress to Soulmates after getting married as Lovebirds.
    • Did you know that lovebirds can be quite aggressive?
      • Care should be given, as well as lots of seed and water. And remember to clean their cage at least twice a month.

    Cautiously marking this as fixed with patch 1.24.102

    Adding my voice to say I'm having this issue too...


    I've tried new saves and different sims - no matter what, I can't get the soulmate status. Which is weird because I know I've been able to do it before (and not too long ago - maybe a couple of months). But this issue seems to have been around for a while, so idk what to think.

    I think there might still be a problem.  Pretty sure my sims were soulmates and then he was caught flirting.  Now he's trying to repent and finish the aspiration but can't get past lovers.  I know there's trust issues, but give a Sim a chance.

    This might still be happening if you have Sims from before the patch.

    How sure are you that they were soulmates before ?

    Do you maybe still have a backup where they still are ?

    Not sure they were soulmates before and I am sure its not fixed at least for me with a brand new game.  However I was able to work around it this time by cheating them to negative 100 friendship negative 100 romance each, divorcing, cheating them back to slightly above 0 romance and about 50 friendship and then giving them a do over on the relationship.  Just to be on the safe side...I left the lot once right after the divorce was final, but once I started repairing the relationship, the sims stayed together until they patched things up.

    It's possible that there was more than one issue that's causing this. 

    Do you still have your savegame where it didn't work ?
