[FIXED] Sims can't cook/can't use fridge

I have had this occur a few times and this morning I decided to find out why. In answer to a couple of the first post questions; I have a great graphics card/ PC specs so that is not the problem. I am not using a mac by the way. I did wonder if it could be a cc object but have none that would use any fridge/cooking interactions. As the move objects cheat always returns the objects back to the inventory there is nothing blocking anything in the kitchen at all. It has happened both during the day and like this morning after sleeping and needing to cook breakfast. They can stand right in front of the fridge but the code fails when asked to open and cook or take a serving.  I don't play with an active internet connection origin can' t 'fix' my game for me. Re- starting the game does work. I have found that if left others in World also get the bug. I can open the fridge grab the food and tell them to eat, then return the full dish to the fridge, but as I said bug seems to spread doing this. It also has appeared along side a bug that doesn't allow the Sims to leave their lot. I can take them so far but then the camera stops and I am confined to a very small space around the house. I thought I'd hit a keyboard button by mistake the first time but last night I know this didn't happen. And yes I did check the camera controls and they were as set, no changes fixed the problem only a re start.   I don't know if the two are connected in any way but I thought it best to mention it. A fix would be great :-)
