Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Sim will continue cooking even after he just cooked.
@ctamarti please save your game where this is happening and send me your save game (instructions in my signature)
EDIT: Tested your save. Are you sure all your mods are removed properly ? I still some left overs from a certain mod in your saves folder. Make sure to delete the localthumbcache and move those files to the desktop.
It's working fine for me. No extensive auto-cooking.

This is not a mods issue. I have NEVER had any mods added to Sims 4 yet this is also happening in my game. I only have EA content.

Hi.
This is happening to me, so I removed my mods folder to test again. Here are some things to note:
I kept the new sim busy until their hunger motive was in red. When it autonomously started to cook. They kept cooking until the counters were full, then went to the fridge, grabbed a quick meal, sat down and ate.
I had it on high speed. I'm not sure if I tested it at lower speeds.
Let me know if there are any other things you'd like to know, or if you'd like my save file.

@crinrict One of the suggestions on the first page seems to have solved this for me. Clearing the cache seemed to work.
To anyone else having this problem, I suggest doing the same. I tried it after the person he was responding to said it worked for her, but for some reason everyone seemed to stop discussing this potential solution from that point onwards, despite no other solutions reported to be working. So, I decided to try the only solution confirmed to work.
I will report back if the problem returns.- crinrict4 years agoHero+@-N3RD4L3RT- I think for most it just comes back tough. It's a weird issue. I saw it on one of my Sims but all others never had this.

Its still a prolem. Even after I cleared the cache my sims still goes for cooking instead of taking left overs. Clearing the cache for me only temporarily solves it, but then the bug just reverts back

Clearing the cache definitely didn't work for me. I've gotten into the habit of clearing the cache and repairing the game whenever I run into stubborn issues like these, to the point that it's usually the first thing I try before adding a bug report. Still, several months, several patches, and at least 2 cache clears later, it's still a problem.

I have a batch file that I run before anything else and it doesn't help this at all. I am at a loss on this one.
