[FIXED] Sims not visible to player teleport /abort interactions

@crinrict  I was unsure if I should post this here. I so desperately, desperately wanted to find a way to be able to return here and say the issue has been solved.

I downloaded the update; repaired my game; have tried hours and hours of experiments with new games and with placing an older save into a new game.  I do not know if I know what I am doing.  This has become so disheartening and depressing.

The behavior is not consistently gone.

It *might* be a problem with my options.ini file.  I tried deleting that and my save still contains what seem to be elements of it, like a four-week calendar.  I am confused and I don't know if I know enough to be testing this properly by myself.

I have no idea in the world what to do.  I've paid a lot of good money and I own every pack ever released except for the new interior decorator one and the farm one.

In a brand new save that's totally separate, things *seem* okay.  I honestly (and I believe very, very, very understandably) cannot live with that.  I have been with two little sims for over a year and we have made untold progress all over the game in a million different things.  I would love to know how to place the world I have built over an extremely lengthy period of time into a save that works without people teleporting all over the place.

I am willing to do whatever I have to do, and I can envision a horrific process that will take a long time, but I am not sure where to begin.  For one, when I attempt to place my guys into the new save, they're not even in my gallery (nor is anyone else, nor any of the houses, etc.).  So I placed an older save into this game.  Then everything reverts and the problems remain.

The worst part is that I have a feeling this is not entirely appropriate to this forum and I have absolutely no idea in this world where to turn for help.

Any help I can get from you or anyone at all would be appreciated.  I'm so confused and I honestly feel like I sank a lot of money into a huge loss.  But perhaps that's my current mood, and simply my being upset.  As you can tell from this post, I don't have faith, after a "fix" was released today, that the developers will continue to look into this and truly fix it.  I'm simply being honest, not to mention I can only imagine how busy and stressed they are.

Update: @crinrict I am overjoyed to report that I think there is actually an objective problem. Even in new saves where I've nuked everything and I'm starting fresh, if you ask a sim who is out of your sight to exit a lot and go to the middle of the street, they go there ... and are invisible. 

When you press ENTER to see where they are, they "appear."

So this may very well not just be my saves, but still a true and actual issue with the update which will need a further update.

It's my greatest wish that others report they're still having this problem, so I don't have to sit here feeling really unhappy, wondering what I'm doing wrong, and thinking I'm imagining it, LOL.

@goofylittlerhino , you're definitely not alone with this. I have done many of the same tests you have posted. I have no further contributions towards this as you and many others have stated the issue outright:

Trigger an action while on another floor of a building and sim is out of view.

Sim will wait at the stairs until the very moment you swing your camera around and the plumbomb is in view.

If you slowly (SLOWLY) rotate your camera to view the bottom of stairs, for instance, as SOON as the tip of the plumbomb is viewed in the camera angle, the sim will continue. Wait long enough and yes, the sim will <ploop> appear to wherever location or item you instructed them to go/interact.

You're not the only one, I have been having it happen too. When the patch and pack first came out I started a new save to have my sims live in the new neighborhood. I had no issues, because I had a one story house and I could see all four sims at once. When I went back to my main save (4 story house, 8 sim family) they were teleporting everywhere just as this thread describes. I don't even want to play until it's fixed, and I was so hoping the patch that came out today would fix it. I was ready to cry when they didn't mention it in the patch notes - I haven't tested it yet but it sounds like it's still broken. I have all the packs as well, and this is the only game I play. I've been playing the sims since the 1st one came out! So I'm used to the occasional bug but this one is basically game-breaking and it needs to be fixed ASAP. With this one and the bars not working (sims won't order autonomously) and the toddlers jittering across the screen... I'm about ready to give up. I'm almost into my 4th generation in my legacy household/main save and I really want to keep going, but this is too dang much for me at this point.
