What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Click on the icon of a Sim that is currently not in view. Tell them to do something. Notice that they will not do it until you put the camera on them, and then will begin to do the action you told them to do immediately.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims not in the camera view won't start an action that has been queued until they are focused on. As soon as they are visible, they will immediately start the queued action.
What do you expect to see? Sims should begin a queued action immediately whether they are currently in view or not.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The problem began after the pre-Cottage Living patch of July 20, 2021.
This issue has been addressed in another thread but is "hidden" under a title that has nothing to do with this particular problem. In other words, it's being mixed up with another issue, that one involving Sims teleporting on stairs. The problem I'm referring to here is very serious and, I believe, deserves its own thread.
The problem is most noticeable when a Sim has to go to a different level of a lot in order to do the action. Example: Bella is cooking in the kitchen and the player is watching her. Player clicks once on the avatar of Cassandra, who is upstairs, and points to a spot in the kitchen telling Cassandra to "go here." Cassandra does not appear. Player double clicks on Cassandra's avatar and finds Cassandra at the very top of the stairs beginning to go downstairs. As if Cassandra was waiting until she was "on camera" before going down the steps.
This happens more than once, more than twice.... far too many times with too many different Sims in too many different households for it to be a coincidence.
