Sims now more consistently wash hands in the sink closest to the toilet.

Phew, I haven't played the game in a year and a half (I'm on Mac and was running too much out of storage so I decided to remove it) I recently installed it all back about a month ago on an external hard drive and it's great. Anyway, with no further surprise, there are still as many bugs as when I left lol. So I'm also having this issue, sometimes they would go down I don't know how many flights of stairs to wash their hands while they could do it right next to them. We had this issue with dishes for a while (thank God I found a mod for that damn thing) now it's with hands. So is there any fix for it yet? Like a mod or anything that would remove that annoying thing because I'm really frustrated with them. I do have mods and CC installed but I hardly think they're the issue and they're all up to date so I don't know what's going with this now.
It's such a massive and useless time waster I've resorted to turning off handwashing using MCCC (tuner function).
Shouldn't have to do this but here we are.
My sims are now total savages!
