Don't know if this helps or if this is when it happens for others but I usually get this want when I leave a household for awhile and then come back. It doesn't usually happen to my active sims. Almost as if the game can't figure out that me not playing them doesn't mean they just stopped loving each other. 😕

Yeah, this annoys me. I wouldn’t say I get it constantly, but I also think that if their friendship and romance are both 100% maybe they shouldn’t roll a want to break up with the text “[Name] has fallen out of love with [name]…” because it’s clearly untrue!
I sometimes have them propose instead. Take that, game! 🤣
I know I’ve said in the feedback area that whims are story prompts that you can take or leave… but in an unmodded game you’re punished for ignoring wants.

This still happening is preposterous. I looked away for a second and the sim I was controlling broke up with her girlfriend whom she had completely full friendship and romance bars with. And this is while I already have another sim trying to rebuild a romance after similar happening from a roommate sim. This. Makes. No. Sense. Checking the romance bar level should be a ludicrously easy check for this "want".
Now I've lost two house of progress. At least it was only two hours. Sims 4 not having auto-saving just compounds these problems.
