     Sims who were vampires but are now Sims that aren’t vampires will now be able to sleep more than 3 hours when tired

    Fixed in Patch 1.96.365/1.71

    I can't tell if only vamps where the issue with this. There are of course also a lot of legit reasons and this thread has run it's course.

    Please create a new one if you still have issues.

EditI'm having the same problem and it's at the point where my Sim won't stay asleep at all. I have everything except city living, fitness stuff, bowling night stuff, vintage glamour stuff and luxury party stuff. I have no mods or cc.

I just got back to playing the Sims when cats & dogs came out. I changed beds, repaired game and everything else I could think of. They can have full needs and it doesn't matter their pets appear to be fine.  They just won't sleep. They are both Young Adults.

Edit:  I went back in the save and my Sim, upon being woken up from I didn't know what at first, had a music thought bubble with an x through it and I found the dog barking right outside the locked door (apparently barking is music...?) and I clicked on the dog and it said "scold for waking up" and I did. I keep trying to send her to sleep but the cats keeping waking up but at least now I know it IS the pets because I get "lecture for waking up" from their meowing. I'm assuming after enough lecturing they'll learn to stop it? Hopefully....at least I know the problem now. The pets even wake her up through locked doors. Locked doors make no difference, which I suppose is realistic but man is this annoying in the game.So sorry. If someone is having the same issue see if a pet is barking or meowing and if clicking on them brings up "scold/lecture for waking up"

    I have a new game where this has just started for me as well.  I've just repaired my game and will see if it's fixed.  If not, I'll get you the save file.  I also tried replacing the bed, first, and no change.  She has two dogs and two cats.  I'll lock them out of the room and see if that has any effect.

    Edit:  Repair didn't fix it nor did locking out the pets.  I PM'd you a link to the save file.  Hope I did it right.

    Second Edit:  Just an FYI, I have a different game that I started when it came out (C&D) and I have no issue with their sleeping.  I just checked it and it's fine.  They have a house I built on the 20 x 20 lot in Cavalier Cove (near the beach).  The other game is also a house I built in the same neighbourhood (different game) on the 64 x 64 lot.  I started that game last night to it's after the most recent patch.  My unaffected game was started shortly after the launch of C&D.

      Added this to inconclusive pets issues for now as it's unclear what's causing it.

      Need more info and saves would also be great.

        A sim can wake up if a cat is scratching on a waste disposal but that's obvious. But in live mode If sims are in bed and you switch to build/buy mode when you come back the sims will stand up by the bed. Not if they are sitting though.

    This is still a problem which has a random chance in the game to happen.  Replacing beds and resetting the sims doesn't seem to resolve the issue, however going into Manage World does, so giving a save game file will not show the issue taking place.

    The issue I saw took place with 2 sims, one was in a double bed and the other was in a single bed.  The sim in the double bed was sharing with another who was sleeping just fine.  There was nothing to keep them from sleeping like no music or TV playing, no kids or pets, no wind chimes, all were adults.  There was no moodlets to show they were disturbed by something.  I had recently done a game repair before the issue too.

    This issue seems to be coupled with a world of other problems where sims cancel doing whatever it was they were told to do or being stuck in place and actions remaining on the screen when cancelled.  I don't know if they're all related but I'll post them in a different post to be certain.

    I have a similiar problem as this, only that with a double bed. My theory is simple - sleeping gets * ater you move a Sim to a new family.

    My sim was friends with one female sim for a while and I took her visiting one day in a flirty mood as a chance to start hitting on her, eventually my sim had the first kiss and woohoo with her and yadda yadda, then I invited her to move in and she agreed. Soon after she was added to the family she was hit with the no sleep bug - she's do to bed, sleep only for a short while and get up without recovering any energy - same thing with trying to take a nap. Obviously she ended up being fatigued and passing out while unable to actually sleep.

    By chance I found a post talking about a similiar issue and they mentioned that editing the sim fixed it. So I started editing the girl sim's outfits via the dresser (which I'd do anyway since she was rather cute but had all that ruined by awful eye makeup) and voila - after editing the sim she was able to sleep just fine.

    The suggestion here is for all posters to say if they got hit by this bug after adding a new sim to a family via move or something, and anyone experiencing this please edit the afflicted sims to check if it fixes it

    @crinrict Did this ever get resolved? I just downloaded origin and sims 4 on a different computer then I usually use to see if this problem persisted. My sim young adult sim will start to sleep but them get up within 1-2 min of the action. Clicking sleep or nap multiple times does somewhat work but multiple sleep actions stack and complete at once. I have had this on and off for over a year. The only thing I have besides base game is the Christmas stuff that was free and the guitar from having an email.
