Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It happens with some specific sims of mine, so you can only reproduce it with my save files.
What happens when the bug occurs? Some sims cannot interact with other sims or with themselves anymore. The radial menu does not appear.
What do you expect to see? I expect my sims to be able to interact with others, as they always have been until today.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, mostly clothing, but I removed the mods folder, and the problem persists.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes. Today 's patch (February 27, 2024)
Right after today's patch (February 27, 2024), some of my sims suddenly cannot interact with anybody anymore, not even with themselves. The radial menu does not appear. They can be interacted with by others. The rest of their families are okay. They can interact with objects.
The error occurs even when loading from save files several months old. Only the save files from right after the affected sims were created seem fine.
I repaired the game via Steam, removed the Mods folder, deleted the cache files, to no avail.
It does not help to move the affected sims into other households, nor moving the whole family somewhere else. Not even exporting the household to the gallery, deleting the household and re-importing it from the gallery works.
Everything was fine yesterday before today's patch. It seems that the current game code does not "like" something about these sims.
